Another first has been checked off in my life – snapping engagement pictures for some awesome, once kids, in my youth ministry. WHAT!? How is this happening? It’s amazing that I don’t seem to age at all and yet this happens ;). The thing that stood out the most to me was having to switch from what I’ve been telling them for years – “leave a little space you two,” “make more room for Jesus,” “no PDA,” etc. – to having to tell them, “a little closer now,” “look like you love each other (as if that’s hard for them),” and “Okay, now kiss.” Weird!

Truth be told these two are awesome. It has been an amazing blessing to watch them grow and be a part of their lives. It’s an amazing privilege to have the seat I have had as their youth pastor and to celebrate this moment and milestone in their lives is truly a gift. I’m excited to see you all continue to grow deeper in love and watch you use your lives to love others. I’m blessed to have another awesome seat watching you guys now join in as leaders in our ministry – seriously, there is nothing sweeter.
